Everest Insurance appoints new professional liability leader
Everest Re Group has announced that Keith Lavigne has joined Everest Insurance as its leader of management and professional liability within Everest Specialty Underwriters. He will be based in the Everest Insurance office in New York City.
“We are thrilled that Keith has joined us at Everest,” said Mike Karmilowicz, head of Everest Specialty Underwriters. “Keith is an accomplished and action oriented leader, as well as a strong underwriting technician who will be a tremendous asset to Everest as we continue to innovate and solve our clients and trading partners’ most challenging problems.”
Before joining Everest, Lavigne served as executive vice president of Chubb Financial Lines, and business segment Leader for Chubb’s retail management liability business. In this capacity, he managed a team of 300 underwriters across 38 offices in North America, focused on providing specialty solutions to companies in the private and not-for-profit industry segments.
Prior to joining ACE in March of 2009 (currently known as Chubb), Lavigne spent approximately eight years with AIG, most recently as senior vice president of the AIG executive liability financial institutions division.
