Everest adds to distribution team with Zurich and ACE hires

Bermuda-based holding company Everest Re has expanded its Everest Insurance distribution management team.  The firm said the two additions will strengthen relationships with its key trading partners as the company continues to expand its capabilities in the specialty insurance space. Kevin Dunham has been appointed as regional leader, marketing and distribution for the West region. He joins Everest Insurance from Zurich Global Corporate in North America where he served as executive vice president, Western team leader - customer relationship management.  Before joining Zurich, Dunham was senior vice president (SVP) and branch manager for ACE Risk Management in Los Angeles. He will be based in the company’s California, office. Mike Newell will take on the role of regional leader, marketing and distribution for the Central region. Newell joins Everest Insurance from Swiss Re, where he served as SVP, head of sales, Central Region. Prior to joining Swiss Re, Newell spent nearly a decade at AIG where he served as national account regional manager in the Central region. He will be based in the company’s Chicago office. “Kevin and Mike are both very well respected and well-known figures in the industry with outstanding client and broker relationships,” said Dane Lopes, US head of sales and distribution at Everest Insurance. “They will bring a strong voice of advocacy for Everest Insurance to the broader brokerage and client community in their respective regions.
