Elementum appoints new associate at Bermuda operation

Alternative investment manager Elementum, which specialises in collateralised natural catastrophe event reinsurance, has appointed Alexis Bean as a reinsurance operations associate at its Bermuda subsidiary.

Bean has been with the business for two years and was previously a reinsurance operations analyst. Before that, she worked for over six years with Validus Reinsurance, a global provider of short-tail lines of reinsurance including property catastrophe, property pro rata and property per risk, as well as marine and energy, and other specialty lines.

She started her career as a reporter for Bermuda press before switching to reinsurance.
