Conyers director steps down from Sanders Re board

Conyers Dill & Pearman director David Doyle has resigned from his position on the board of Bermuda-based special purpose insurer Sanders Re.

At the same time, Sanders Re has appointed Alexandra Macdonald, associate in the corporate department of Conyers Dill & Pearman, to the board.

Doyle joined Conyers in 1996, and his practice includes all areas of Bermuda corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on re/insurance.

Macdonald specialises in incorporating and licensing insurers and reinsurers, including captives, special purpose insurers, sidecars and segregated account companies and in the creation and offering of cat bonds. She has advised on the formation, licensing and listing on the Bermuda Stock Exchange of numerous cat bond special purpose insurance vehicles.

Sanders Re operates as a subsidiary and cat bond issuer of Allstate Insurance Company.
