Conduit announces new senior independent director
Conduit Holdings has announced that Rebecca Shelley (pictured) has succeeded Sir Brian Williamson as senior independent director.
Shelley was appointed to the board of Conduit, the ultimate parent of Bermuda-based Conduit Re, in July 2023.
Although Sir Brian has stepped down from the SID role, he will remain on CHL's Board as a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration Committee until CHL's AGM on May 15 when he will leave the board.
Shelley serves on CHL's nomination and remuneration committees, and on Conduit's ESG committee.
She is currently a non-executive director of Sabre Insurance, Liontrust Asset Management and Hilton Food Group. In her various non-executive director roles, she has served on remuneration (including as chair), nomination, audit and risk committees and as the senior independent director. She is also chair of the sustainability committee at Hilton Food Group.
Sir Brian was chairman and chief executive of Gerrard Group and was a director of HSBC Holdings.
Neil Eckert, chairman, said: "Brian joined the Board at Conduit's formation in 2020 and I am grateful to him for his wise counsel in his role as SID since then and for his contribution to Conduit's growth. I look forward to working with Rebecca in her capacity as SID."
