BMA unveils August registrations

The Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) has revealed that it reviewed eight insurance applications in August.

Six of the applications were approved and two applications were deferred, bringing the total number of insurers registered this year to 37 and the total number of intermediaries to 11.

The BMA added that an additional application was reviewed and approved in July for a total of five insurance applications reviewed in July.

During August, Cavello Bay Reinsurance was registered as a 3A reinsurer.
