BMA releases monthly registration statistics for July

Two re/insurers were registered in Bermuda during July, according to the Bermuda Monetary Authority.

In total, four insurance applications were reviewed in July. Two applications were approved, one was deferred and one application was declined.

The two registered entities were TDL Bermuda, which was registered as a Class 1 insurer, and Old Mutual (Bermuda) Re, which was registered as a Class D insurer.

This brings the total number of registrations for the year so far to 47. This is made up of 36 insurers and 11 intermediaries.
