AXA XL has launched a podcast series created to raise the level of awareness about emerging and evolving risks within the North America healthcare industry.

Entitled ‘AXA XL Healthcare Risk Insights’, the podcast series covers a variety of topics, including avoiding clinical documentation legal pitfalls and dealing with an active shooter in healthcare organisations.

The bi-monthly series will start with two episodes focused on the value of the insured and insurer relationship and cyber risk in healthcare. Each episode is approximately 15 minutes. The podcast, recorded and produced by The Sullivan Group, features subject matter experts from AXA XL as well healthcare organizations, law firms and brokerage companies.

“It’s estimated that more than 165 million people in the US have listened to a podcast and this number is growing at a fast rate,” said Shellé Hendrickson, AXA XL’s head of healthcare, Bermuda. “This platform provides another opportunity for us at AXA XL to collaborate with clients, colleagues, broker partners and other industry professionals and to share our expertise on relevant topics within healthcare. It’s our aim for AXA XL Healthcare Risk Insights to be the go-to podcast for information on innovative initiatives and emerging and evolving risks across the healthcare industry.”

Carla George, senior claims specialist at AXA XL in Bermuda, who also worked on the podcast series, added: “As people are busy and often suffer from information overload, we wanted to deliver this information in an easily accessible format. The beauty of podcasts is that you can listen to them while engaging in other activities, such as exercising or while commuting. We believe that listeners, within and outside the healthcare industry, will find this podcast valuable.”
