AXA XL boosts excess casualty team with rehire

AXA XL has rehired Cotina Trott to its Bermuda insurance excess casualty team as vice president and senior underwriter.

Trott is returning to AXA XL after leaving the organisation in 2002 to work at various carriers in the Bermuda market.

She had previously worked at the company from 1994, when it was XL Insurance Bermuda, as an assistant underwriter before being promoted to underwriter and then assistant vice president.

In her new role, she will be responsible for delivering profitable underwriting services to clients and developing underwriting strategies for clients in the excess casualty portfolio.

This will include working primarily on chemicals and life science accounts.

She will also be tasked with building and enhancing relationships with brokers and clients on the island.
