Argo’s Lloyd’s division makes energy appointment

Argo International, Argo Group’s Lloyd’s platform, has appointed Greg Walters as class underwriter for its onshore energy account.

Walters will report to head of marine and energy Philip Thorpe-Apps and has moved from Liberty International where he worked as a senior underwriter responsible for oil, gas and petrochemical risks.

Commenting on Walters appointment, Thorpe-Apps, says: “Throughout his career, Greg has focused on Energy underwriting and this is reflected in his underwriting skill and network of longstanding relationships in the sector.”

“His appointment emphasises our focus on recruiting specialist underwriters, who complement our existing team, to develop and maintain an Energy account based on technical expertise and skilled underwriting.”
