ACE appoints energy underwriter for its MENA operation

ACE Group has announced the appointment of Adam Groves to the role of energy underwriter for ACE in MENA, as it continues to strengthen its energy insurance capabilities in the region.

Based in Dubai, Groves will be responsible for further expanding ACE’s energy portfolio across MENA and for contributing to its future profitable development.

Groves has significant experience in the MENA energy sector, having worked with a wide range of clients within the region’s energy broking space. He joins ACE from Marsh, where he most recently held the position of assistant vice president - energy client executive. The appointment is effective immediately and he will report to Mojgan Khosabi, energy underwriting manager for ACE in MENA.

Khosabi says: “Having a local energy underwriting team that knows the culture, the brokers and the unique needs of our customers is essential in this ever-changing, expanding market where close relationships and a deep understanding of risk in the region are more important than ever. Adam is a great addition to our highly skilled team. As the energy sector continues to rebound in MENA he will help us capitalise on the exciting new opportunities we see across the region.”
