IGI promotes group chief actuary

Bermuda-registered International General Insurance has promoted Stav Tsielepis to the role of group chief actuary, the company said.

In an announcement on LinkedIn, specialty insurer IGI said Tsielepis will be responsible for capital, pricing, reserving and exposure management.

Tsielepis joined IGI in January 2022 as group chief risk officer and has also served as the interim group chief actuary since June 2023 following the sudden passing of chief actuary Stephen Rix. The risk function is now being led by Donal Barrett.

“This transition marks an exciting chapter in my career, and I am grateful for the trust and support of the executive team at IGI,” said Tsielepis. “I am also incredibly proud of the amazing team I have the privilege of leading. Together we will continue to drive innovation, excellence, and strategic growth in our actuarial function.”
