Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer Everest has restructured the leadership of its facultative and hybrid reinsurance business, appointing new leadership including and chief operating officer as part of a broader refresh of the strategic platform.
Michael Cellura has been appointed head of facultative & hybrid reinsurance, including underwriting strategy, portfolio management, and regional alignment across the business. Cellura, who joined Everest in 2022, will report to Jason Keen, EVP and CEO of global wholesale & specialty insurance.
Meanwhile, Trevor Gallagher has been appointed COO facultative & hybrid reinsurance, a newly created role reporting to Michael Cellura. Gallagher will be responsible for operational execution and platform optimisation. Since joining Everest in 2023, Gallagher has supported the build-out of the facultative & hybrid reinsurance platform.
“Michael and Trevor are highly respected leaders whose experience and strategic focus reflect the strength of Everest’s leadership bench,” said Keen. “Facultative & hybrid reinsurance is central to our strategy, enabling us to provide flexible underwriting and differentiated solutions for complex risks.”
Everest said the shakeup will further strengthen its global wholesale & specialty platform, built on disciplined underwriting, strong execution and close broker and client collaboration.
