Everest onboards former Goldman Sachs Reinsurance CEO Allan Levine

Bermuda-based Everest appointed  former CEO of Goldman Sachs Reinsurance  Allan Levine to its board as part of continued expansion.

Levine has been appointed as an independent, non-executive member.

Levine, with a three-decade career, is co-founder and executive chairman of Global Atlantic, a KKR-owned insurance company where he is also a partner. He previously served as chairman and CEO of Global Atlantic. Prior to that, he was CEO of Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group, where Global Atlantic originated, and spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs as partner and co-head of firm-wide strategy.

He currently serves on the boards of the American Council of Life Insurers, Columbia Business School’s Tamer Center for Social Enterprise advisory board, and the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club.

John Graf, Everest chairman, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Allan to Everest’s Board. Allan is an exceptional leader, bringing deep strategic acumen, industry knowledge and an entrepreneurial approach that have proven invaluable in guiding the growth and success of world-class financial institutions. We will leverage Allan’s experience and insights to execute on our long-term strategy and capitalise on the significant potential of our global platform.”

Levine’s appointment follows the recent additions of Darryl Page and John Howard to the board.
