Aspen revamps casualty team; Ryan Cushway and Leanne Bellows take senior roles

Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer Aspen Insurance Holdings shuffled its leadership to streamline its casualty strategy.

Ryan Cushway will step into the newly created role of head of international and UK casualty insurance. Cushway has held several senior underwriting roles since joining Aspen in 2017, leading the UK casualty portfolio since 2023.

As part of this transition, Leanne Bellows will assume the role of head of excess casualty – London and Lloyd’s markets, reporting to Cushway.

In addition, Richard Spinks and the international environmental team will now report into Cushway under this restructured leadership model, alongside the UK casualty team.
