Ascot appoints CNA president Steven Goldman as head of distribution

Bermuda-based specialty insurer Ascot Group has appointed CNA president Steven Goldman to lead its global distribution strategy.

Steven Goldman (pictured) will join the company as global head of distribution on July 7. 

In this new role, Goldman will lead and execute Ascot’s global distribution strategy. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, he will report to group CEO and president Jonathan Zaffino.

Goldman, with more than 25 years of experience, joins from CNA, where he most recently served as president of global management and professional liability. Before that, he spent 14 years at Chubb, latterly as vice president and division president for North America financial lines. He began his insurance career underwriting transactional risk products at AIG, where he worked for eight years.

“Steve is both highly attuned to the risk challenges our specialty clients face in an increasingly volatile world and brings a tremendous track record of successful industry leadership to Ascot.”
