Bermuda's response to global minimum tax: Rod Attride-Stirling
The prospect of implementing a global minimum tax, targeting large corporations with annual revenues exceeding €750 million, has sparked conversations around Bermuda's tax framework.
In conversation with Bermuda:Re+ILS for a Voices of Bermuda 2023 article, Rod Attride-Stirling of ASW Law shared the importance of intelligent decision-making to navigate the radical shift in global taxation practices.
Attride-Stirling said: “I don’t think the Bermuda government would ever have pushed for this, but given that it’s been imposed on us, it’s important that we act in a way that is intelligent and protects the jurisdiction.”
