Hamilton names Fergus Fergusson as head of excess casualty for Syndicate 4000

Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed Fergus Fergusson as division head of excess casualty for Syndicate 4000, managed by Hamilton Managing Agency (HMA)  and for Hamilton Insurance DAC, the Dublin-based carrier.

Fergusson joins Hamilton after nine years with Aspen Insurance UK, where he was most recently head of international excess casualty. Before joining Aspen he was focused on trade credit and political risk insurance, spending three and a half years underwriting and developing business at Coface and Euler Hermes Ireland, and six years as head of special risks at International Risk Consultants.

Tim Glover, CEO of HMA, said: “[Fergusson’s] deep and comprehensive experience with excess casualty insurance and his first-hand knowledge of the London and Dublin markets will be distinct advantages as we continue to develop this line of business.”
