BMA registers 67 insurance entities in 2020

The Bermuda Monetary Authority registered ten new re/insurance entities in December, taking the total number of registrations for 2020 to 67.

This compares with the 58 new re/insurance entities registered by the BMA in 2019.

Among the new entities registered in December were three collateralised insurers and three special purpose insurers. There was also one single parent captive, one class three insurer, one class C long term insurer and an insurance agent.
