XL boosts its Swiss financial lines team

XL Group has reinforced its team in Switzerland to respond to the growing needs of multinational companies for financial lines coverage.

Hendrik Jauer joined XL’s international financial lines team as head of Switzerland in February 2014 to build and lead a new local financial lines team based in Zurich.

With over 18 years of professional insurance experience, Jauer joined XL from AIG where he was the financial lines manager responsible for Switzerland and Austria.

Michael Kuprianczyk also joined XL from AIG in July as senior underwriter for international financial lines.
He has over 12 years of professional experience working as a financial lines underwriter and financial analyst in Switzerland and other markets for various global financial institutions.
Alexander Gage joined XL as head of underwriting management for international financial lines earlier this year.
He joined from Zurich Insurance and is, among other things, responsible for Xl’s global insurance programmes and the cross-border insurance capabilities of international financial lines worldwide.

Louise Dennerståhl, head of XL Group’s international financial lines unit, said: “Company boards and senior leaders are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of having the right protection for personal liability exposures. The breadth of expertise in our new financial lines team in Switzerland will allow us to better cover a diverse range of risks with tailored products.”

Bruno Länzlinger, XL Group’s country manager Switzerland, added: “Having a strong team is critical to responding to the needs of the sophisticated clients we find in Switzerland – and to the growing needs in this region – with innovative, specific Professional and Financial Lines solutions. I’m delighted to be able to count on the strong and experienced new team we’ve put together.”
