SiriusPoint looks to expand US P&C business with new hire

Specialty re/insurer SiriusPoint has hired Patrick Charles as head of Americas P&C insurance. He will be responsible for managing and growing its US P&C business, including expansion of key strategic partnerships and products and services launches to support these.

Charles joins the company from Zurich Insurance Group, where he was Midwest regional vice president for North America construction and, before that, vice president of commercial markets. With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, he has also worked for McKinsey & Company, Alliance Bernstein and the St. Paul Companies.

Prashanth Gangu, chief operating officer and president of insurance and services for SirusPoint, said: “We are delighted to welcome Patrick to our team.
