PwC Bermuda promotes three partners

PwC Bermuda has promoted three new partners with wide experience in the risk and insurance sectors.

It has also promoted two other senior employees. The promotions took effect on July 1.

Elanor Daniel, David Forester, and Chris Mills have been promoted to partner.

Damian Sealy, director, will become actuarial leader for Bermuda and PwC in the Caribbean, while Anthony Fellowes will be promoted to director – digital.

Arthur Wightman, PwC Bermuda leader, said, “We are so proud of this inspiring group of leaders who are most deserving of these promotions. For Elly, Chris and David, we could not be more delighted to welcome them to the partnership. Their strength of leadership, expertise, values and commitment have directly contributed to this major milestone.

“This class is also a testament to our progress and momentum, as well as confidence in the future, as we deliver on our strategy of helping clients build trust with their stakeholders and deliver sustained outcomes. In today’s complex business environment, our three newest partners have shown they have the capabilities, skills and unwavering determination to solve our clients’ problems and create value.

“Damian’s promotion reflects the continuing growth of our businesses across the Caribbean, serving our insurance clients in each of the markets in which they operate. And as businesses encounter technological disruption and opportunity, Anthony’s digital strengths diversify what we have to offer our clients in a rapidly changing world.”

Daniel joined the firm in 2003 in the insurance and reinsurance audit practice and transitioned into the risk and quality team in 2012.
Forester also joined the firm in 2003 and has extensive experience in helping clients to navigate regulatory complexity and strengthen trust and transparency, PwC said.

“He focuses on the provision of audit and advisory services to a wide range of clients in the insurance, reinsurance and asset and wealth management sectors – with SEC, US GAAP, IFRS and Bermuda statutory reporting requirements.”

Mills has been with PwC since 2014, providing assurance and advisory services to clients in the insurance industry and currently leads the firm’s risk advisory practice.

“Chris is passionate about building effective internal audit and risk management functions and has worked with a variety of re/insurers on internal audit transformation including designing, evaluating and enhancing internal control frameworks,” the firms said.

Sealy joined the firm in 2019 from PwC’s Risk Modelling Services team in London. He leads the provision of actuarial services on audit and advisory engagements and has worked with a variety of insurers, from single-parent captives to large global property and catastrophe reinsurers.

Fellowes began his professional career with PwC Bermuda in 2010 as a senior associate, delivering assurance and advisory services with a focus on information technology. A champion of the firm’s digital transformation initiatives, he works with insurance and banking clients to integrate innovative and emerging technologies.
