Premia Holdings set to acquire Navigators in Europe from The Hartford

Premia Holdings will acquire Navigators Holdings (Europe) and its associated companies, which includes Assurances Continentales – Continentale Verzekeringen of Belgium and Canal Re of Luxemburg, from The Hartford.

Navigators is a Continental European insurance group that is headquartered in Belgium, with legal entities licensed to write business across 31 countries.

Premia is focused on acquiring and reinsuring legacy portfolios. It said Navigators will become its dedicated platform in the Continental European market.

The transaction is subject to typical regulatory approvals.

The Hartford was advised by Citi and Mayer Brown International, while Premia was advised by Clifford Chance US.
