Hamilton Underwriting appoints new head of treaty
Hamilton Insurance Group subsidiary Hamilton Underwriting has announced that Neil Lee-Amies has joined the agency as head of treaty, reporting to active underwriter Miles Osorio.
Osorio and Adrian Daws succeeded Trevor Carvey as active underwriter following Carvey’s resignation in February.
“I’m delighted that Neil has joined the Hamilton team,” said Hamilton Underwriting’s chief executive officer Dermot O’Donohoe. “He brings a proven track record of consistent, profitable underwriting results as well as strong client and broker relationships worldwide.
“As we welcome Neil on board, we extend our sincere gratitude to Trevor for the significant contribution he made to the development of our Lloyd’s platform. We wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
Lee-Amies has more than 30 years’ broking and underwriting experience. He was previously at Chubb Insurance Company where he was employed for nearly 11 years, most recently as head of marine and energy treaty for Chubb Tempest Re following the takeover of Chubb by ACE.
Prior to joining Chubb, Lee-Amies was employed at Wurttembergische UK (now Antares Underwriting Services) as marine non proportional treaty manager / underwriter. His earlier roles include four years as deputy marine excess of loss underwriter at Eagle Star Reinsurance Company.
