Hamilton Re promotes Chan to SVP casualty, specialty

Hamilton Re has announced that Liam Chan has been promoted to the position of senior vice president, casualty & specialty.

Chan underwrites a broad portfolio of casualty and professional lines business, including several specialty classes. He will report to Tim Duffin

Chan joined Hamilton Re in 2015 after eight years with Brit Insurance. He began his career in London in Brit’s graduate programme, rotating between underwriting, actuarial and claims before working as a casualty treaty underwriter. In this role, Chan focused on the London international reinsurance and retrocession market, specialising in professional indemnity, financial institutions, directors’ and officers’ liability, general liability and motor, as well as various specialty lines.
