Government spokeswoman joins Argus
Bermuda’s Argus Group has appointed Aderonke Bademosi Wilson as chief communications officer for the global organisation. She will be responsible for developing and overseeing the corporate communications strategy, including media relations, branding, reputation management and internal communications.
Bademosi Wilson joins from the Bermuda government, where she was director of its communications department and led its crisis communications during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in her career, she spent six years at ACE Limited as the deputy director of global communications.
“I am pleased to welcome Aderonke to the Argus Executive Leadership Team,” said Argus CEO Alison Hill. “The role of chief communications officer is a newly created position, and as a senior communications professional, she brings a wealth of knowledge from the local, international, public and private sectors.
“Argus is placing greater focus on providing clear and frequent communications to all stakeholders, including current and future shareholders, clients, employees and business partners.”
Bademosi Wilson added: “I am happy to be a member of the Argus team. There are exciting developments taking place throughout the organisation, including initiatives that focus on managing health rather than managing sickness. As a growing global company, there is emphasis on everyone winning with a culture of doing the right thing. I look forward to expanding the communications function within the company and for external stakeholders.”
