Everest Specialty Underwriters adds three executives to financial lines

Everest Specialty Underwriters (ESU), a subsidiary of Everest Insurance, has expanded its financial lines portfolio with the addition of three new colleagues on the private company/not-for-profit business team. This segment’s focus is on providing creative management liability insurance solutions for private and not-for-profit insureds.

Patrick Sklarski has been named director of the Chicago region, responsible for overseeing a team underwriting complex private and not-for-profit accounts in Chicago and the Pacific Northwest. Sklarski joins from Chubb where he was an assistant vice president underwriting in the Pacific Northwest territory.  He will report to Salvatore Collura, the group’s national practice leader.

Laurie Tolton has been appointed manager responsible for underwriting private and not-for-profit accounts, reporting to Sklarski. Tolton, who will be based in the Everest Insurance Chicago office, joins Everest from OneBeacon Insurance Company, where she was responsible for underwriting small to mid-size private companies. She previously worked for Chubb in the private company/not-for-profit division servicing the Chicago area.

Ansumana Diggs has been named a senior underwriter in New York, responsible for underwriting private and not-for-profit insureds, reporting to New York regional manager, Micah Maravankin. Diggs spent nearly 4 years at Chubb as a financial lines underwriter for the private company/not-for-profit financial lines division.

“We are committed to adding seasoned and professional talent to our rapidly expanding private company/not-for-profit division,” said Collura. “We are pleased to have Patrick, Laurie, and Ansu join our team. Their experience and technical acumen will enable Everest to further expand its private company/not-for-profit product and service offerings in the market and generate significant results for the division.”
