New CEO for Everest Insurance International

Everest Insurance, the diversified specialty insurance division of Everest Re Group, has announced that Vincent Vandendael has joined as CEO of Everest Insurance International.

Vandendael will lead all facets of the Everest Insurance operations outside of North America. He will join the Everest Insurance global leadership team and will report to Jonathan Zaffino, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Everest Insurance. He will be based out of the Everest Insurance London office.

He brings twenty-eight years of diversified global insurance experience to Everest throughout specialty and financial lines. Prior to joining Everest, Vandendael was chief commercial officer at Lloyd’s of London responsible for all business development. He also led Lloyd’s global network, and was instrumental in establishing Lloyd’s Brussels subsidiary, which is due to open in 2019 ahead of the UK’s exit from the European Union.

Before joining Lloyd’s in 2012, Vandendael spent seventeen years in positions of increasing responsibility at Zurich Insurance Company, most recently serving as CEO Global Corporate, Asia Pacific.
