Everest Insurance promotes executives to head up segments
Everest Re subsidiary Everest Insurance has announced that Mike Karmilowicz and Dave Sandler will each assume the title of president for their respective business segments, effective immediately.
“Today’s announcement recognises both Mike and Dave’s significant leadership impact on Everest Insurance, their personal performance during their time here, and the growing scale and diversity of the business units they oversee,” said Jonathan Zaffino, president and chief executive officer of Everest Insurance.
“Mike and Dave are talented and seasoned industry leaders, each with more than 25 years of experience in the industry and will play in increasingly important role in our future. I look forward to partnering with both of these talented Executives as we continue to evolve Everest Insurance toward the world class specialty insurer we envision.”
Sandler joined Everest Insurance in April of 2016 to lead the Risk Management group. Over the past two years, the Risk Management Group has grown to include monoline workers compensation, multinational casualty, commercial casualty, energy and transportation & logistics. He has also added management responsibility, and has joined the board of The Everest Insurance Company of Canada.
Karmilowicz joined Everest Insurance in July of 2015 and leads Everest Specialty Underwriters (ESU), which currently comprises the Executive Solutions Group, which deals with financial institutions, public & private D&O, & cyber), professional liability, alternative solutions, political risk & trade credit, and surety. He has also recently added management responsibility, and joined the Board of, the Specialty Insurance Group (SIG), Everest’s sports & leisure specialist organisation.
