Everest Insurance appoints new head of claims

Everest Insurance has named Andrew McBride as its new senior vice president and global head of claims.

According to the business, which is the primary insurance division of Everest Re Group, McBride will lead strategic oversight and management of all aspects of its commercial insurance claims operations. As part of the division’s senior leadership team, he will also streamline and drive efficiencies in the claims processes, with continued investment in advanced data and analytics.

He joins with four decades of experience, most recently as executive vice president of claims at Chubb, where he was responsible for managing claims across its international businesses. Before that, he was director of claims for QBE’s European Operations and has also worked in various roles managing claims at AON and AXA Group overseas.

Based in London, McBride will report to Everest Insurance president and CEO Mike Karmilowicz.

Karmilowicz said: “Andrew brings a proven track record and calibre of specialised expertise that will help drive a new industry standard for claims service and customer experience across the global operation. His appointment underscores our commitment to investing in the talent and technology that will continue to transform our global claims capabilities.”
