Citadel Risk hires the former COO of R&Q

Bermuda-based niche reinsurer Citadel Risk has appointed David Taylor as business development consultant.

Taylor joins from Sharden Services, where he was chief executive officer (CEO). Prior to this, he served as chief operating officer of R&Q Quest Management Services in Bermuda.

In his new role, Taylor will be responsible for developing business for the Citadel Group across all three of its insurance, reinsurance and services divisions.

Tony Weller, group CEO of Citadel Risk, said: “David has forged relationships with decision makers within the insurance and reinsurance sectors in the UK, Bermuda, US and Europe and has a proven track record of developing new business for a number of entities.

“Having worked in both London and Bermuda he will be a great asset to the group, providing a broad reach into a number of markets. I have no doubt he will make a valuable contribution to our operation.”
