Axis Insurance hires VP to US excess casualty team.

Specialty insurer Axis Insurance has recruited Abiy Dadi as vice president of its US excess casualty team. He will be responsible for developing relationships with wholesale distribution partners, new and existing business opportunities, and executing underwriting strategy. Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, he reports to the team’s senior vice president Britt Smith.

He joins from Alabama-headquartered wholesale and specialty insurance distributor CRC Group, which has more than $23.5 billion in annual written premiums. He was an associate broker and assistant vice president responsible for primary casualty and excess liability production and risk placement. He also oversaw team operations and training new team members.
