
Hamilton adds David Priebe, Karen Green to board
Bermuda-based insurer Hamilton has appointed former Guy Carpenter chairman David Priebe (pictured left) and ex-Aspen UK CEO Karen Green (pictured right) to its board of directors.
The appointee bring decades of leadership and reinsurance expertise to its board.
Priebe, a seasoned leader in reinsurance with expertise in capital markets and investment banking, spent more than 40 years at Guy Carpenter (GC). He retired in January 2025, having most recently served as chairman. Previously, he led GC Securities, the investment banking and capital markets group, and GC Capital Solutions Group.
During her executive career, Green held senior roles at Aspen Insurance Holdings, including chief executive of Aspen UK and group head of strategy and corporate development. She also worked as a principal at MMC Capital (now Stone Point Capital) and in business development at GE Capital London. Previously, she was a council member of Lloyd’s of London.
Green is also a senior independent director of Phoenix Group Holdings and a non-executive director of Admiral Insurance Group and Great Portland Estates, where she also became senior independent director from April 4. She also serves as non-executive director of Miller Insurance Services.
Meanwhile, long-serving director Bill Freda has retired after joining Hamilton’s board in June 2014 and chairing from August 2017 to May 2023.
