Convex launches Kinetic MGA with Theo Butt at the helm, Anne Middleton takes Convex UK CEO spot

Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer Convex Group has launched Kinetic Insurance Services, a technology-enabled managing general agency, with former Convex Insurance UK CEO Theo Butt appointed chief executive officer of the new business. Anne Middleton succeeds him as CEO of Convex UK.

UK-based Kinetic Insurance Services has received FCA regulatory approval and will be led by Theo Butt (pictured), former CEO of Convex Insurance UK. Kinetic will target specialty and niche lines of business complementary to Convex’s existing portfolio, backed by Convex and third-party capacity.

Butt said: “This strategic initiative aims to establish a market-leading MGA built on the principles Convex is renowned for – underwriting excellence, technology-driven innovation, and exceptional customer experience – creating a complementary pillar within our broader portfolio.
