Conduit Re interim CUO Nick Pritchard exits in leadership reshuffle

Bermuda-based reinsurer Conduit Re has reshuffled its underwriting team with the departure of interim CUO and casualty head Nick Pritchard (pictured).

Pritchard, interim CUO, will leave Conduit Re in February 2026. He was appointed in May after eight months as underwriting portfolio and alternative capital manager.

“A wide-ranging search to recruit an experienced CUO continues, and it is expected that process will be concluded in the relatively near future,” the Bermuda-based reinsurer said in a statement.

Angus Hampton has been promoted to head of casualty, succeeding Mario Binetti, who is also leaving the company. Hampton will lead Conduit Re’s global casualty underwriting team, driving the company’s casualty strategy and delivering innovative reinsurance solutions to clients.

Peter Kiernan, head of property, will take on broker and client management in addition to his current responsibilities. David Frawley has been appointed to the specialty team to work alongside Marc Bearman, head of specialty.

The leadership changes are pending Bermuda immigration approval.

Hampton joined the company in 2021 as head of international casualty & long-tail specialty after roles at Liberty Mutual Reinsurance and Ascot.

Kiernan has been head of property since he joined the company in 2022. With more than 20 years of experience, he previously worked with Axa XL, Allianz Risk Transfer and Axis Capital.

Frawley with more than a decade of experience in specialty reinsurance, joins from Hamilton Re where he most recently served as vice president of specialty reinsurance. Prior to that, he served at Allied World, Lancashire and Cathedral Syndicates.
