Ariel Re reshuffles leadership, names Sarah Morgan head of property

Bermuda-based global reinsurer Ariel Re has reshuffled its property underwriting leadership, promoting Sarah Morgan (pictured right) to head of property and Reed Gaglio (pictured left) to head of E&S property as it looks to strengthen portfolio resilience and support long-term growth.

From April 1, 2026, Morgan will step up to head of property, a team she has been part of as an underwriter since 2006. Morgan will replace Mike Cornish who will continue with Ariel Re in a new role, supporting strategy, new product development and special projects.

Gaglio, who joined Ariel Re in 2005, will take on the head of E&S property reinsurance role from April to lead the next phase of business development reflecting the increasing strategic importance of this class.
