Amiga secures additional capacity from Lloyd’s and IGI

UK-based specialty lines MGA Amiga Specialty has secured additional capacity from Lloyd’s and Bermuda-based insurer IGI to support its UK and European transactional risks business.

The extra capacity “significantly” enhances Amiga Specialty’s ability to support M&A and corporate transaction activity, enabling the MGA to offer higher limits, broader deal profiles, and increased flexibility across a wide range of industry sectors.

The expanded facility allows Amiga Specialty to continue scaling its transactional risks platform, including warranty & indemnity insurance tailored for mid-market and complex transactions.

Richard Mills, MD of transactional risks, Amiga Specialty, said: “This new capacity marks an important step forward for our transactional risks platform. With the support of IGI and Lloyd’s, we can offer brokers greater certainty, larger limits, and the ability to support deals across multiple sectors and jurisdictions. It positions us strongly as we continue to grow alongside our clients and their advisers.”

Adam Kembrooke, MD and founder of Amiga Specialty, added: “Transactional risk remains a core strategic growth area for Amiga. Partnering with high-quality global insurers like IGI and Lloyd’s enables us to expand responsibly, support more complex transactions, and continue delivering the underwriting expertise and service our broker partners expect.”
