Vantage appoints Sompo VP for Marketing & Distribution

Vantage Group Holdings has appointed Gabriel Poppie as vice president of its central region executive, marketing & distribution business. Poppie joins Vantage from Sompo International where he served as vice president of business development for US insurance.

Prior to joining Sompo, he spent over five years at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions where he most recently served as head of sales for the US central region. Earlier in his career, he worked as a client executive and broker at Marsh.

Dane Lopes, chief commercial officer of insurance at Vantage, said: "Gabe is a well-known and highly respected figure in the insurance market with outstanding client and broker relationships. He will provide a strong voice of advocacy for Vantage to the broader broker and client community in the US central region.
