SiriusPoint appoints Sabra Purtill to board as Tad Montross and Peter Tan prepare to step down

SiriusPoint has appointed Sabra Purtill to its board of directors, effective March 25, 2026, while Franklin (Tad) Montross IV and Peter Tan will step down following the company’s annual general meeting on May 20, 2026. 

Purtill brings four decades of insurance and financial services experience, including senior roles at AIG, Hartford Financial Services Group, Assured Guaranty and ACE Limited.

Montross joined the SiriusPoint board in 2021 and serves as chair of the risk & capital management committee, as well as a member of the audit and compensation committees. 

Tan also joined the board in 2021 and serves on the investment committee and the risk & capital management committee.

Bronek Masojada, chair of the board, SiriusPoint said: “Sabra brings significant financial and insurance experience to the Board, shaped by four decades at leading financial institutions. Her perspective will support the Board’s oversight, governance and long-term strategic direction on behalf of our shareholders.
