PartnerRe names André Piché as president of Canadian life and health

PartnerRe has named André Piché as president of its Canadian life and health operations.

Piché joined PartnerRe in 2012 and most recently served as chief business development officer for life and health in Canada.

In his new role Piché will assume overall responsibility for the Canadian life and health business, reporting to Alan Ryder, chief executive of North America life.

Piché has spent the majority of his career pricing various types of life and health products, working on new product development, building relationships with client companies, and in leadership positions.

Ryder said: “[Piché] has been instrumental in the growth of our Canadian business. He has successfully led our business development, resulting in strong client relationships, an increase in PartnerRe’s market position and the development of our portfolio.”
