Liberty Mutual appoints Pete D'Orsi to head up analytics for GRS

Liberty Mutual global risk solutions (GRS), its commercial and specialty re/insurance operation,  has appointed Pete D'Orsi as chief data and analytics officer.

D'Orsi has over fifteen years of experience in managing data science teams and strategic implementation of insurance products. He was formerly Liberty Mutual's global retail markets vice president for business insurance product delivery.

D’Orsi reports to James Slaughter, GRS’ chief underwriting officer. His role sees him partner with primary, specialty and surety businesses across GRS to use data analytics to enhance its capabilities for customers and brokers.

Slaughter said D’Orsi has the ideal experience to lead GRS' analytics hub, which deploys machine learning, artificial intelligence and other advanced analytics.
