Hamilton Insurance Group has hired a head of allied medical for its US excess and surplus (E&S) business, a newly created role intended to allow Hamilton to grow its business in this area.
Kevin Price joins from the brokerage RCM&D where he was client services team leader, leading a group of insurance agency healthcare specialists that serviced healthcare entities with a complete insurance portfolio. He has held various leadership positions over the course of his career, including wholesale insurance broking and underwriting role, and has been involved in all aspects of the insurance underwriting and distribution processes.
He was a long-serving executive at Argo Group International Holdings, serving as senior vice president of allied medical, and also held claims roles at Liberty Mutual and Victor O. Schinnerer.
At Hamilton Price reports to Clay Rhoades, president of US E&S, who said: "We're undertaking fast-paced expansion in building out our team and business, and know that given Kevin's exceptional expertise, deep relationships and broad industry knowledge, he will contribute to our success in this highly-specialised healthcare area."
