Everest promotes four to lead US regional commercial casualty teams

Everest Insurance has appointed four underwriters from across the US to lead the Northeast, South, Midwest, and Southwest regions for its commercial casualty business.

Frank Engle becomes vice president and regional leader for the southern region, overseeing Everest’s commercial casualty teams in Atlanta and Houston. Engle joined Everest in 2018 in the Atlanta office where he has driven growth in the commercial casualty business. He has been charged with driving similar growth in Houston.

Marc Costa transfers from the New York office to Chicago to become vice president and regional leader for the Midwest. Costa joined Everest in 2017 and helped build the insurers presence on the East Coast.

Scott Weiss becomes vice president and regional leader for the Northeast. He joined Everest in 2018 and is focused on expanding the commercial casualty team in New York, Philadelphia and Boston.

Garrett Myklak becomes assistant vice president and regional leader for the Southwest. Having joined Everest in 2017, Myklak leads the team in Los Angeles, supporting brokers across the region.

Christopher McKeon, head of commercial casualty and risk management at Everest Insurance, said it was gratifying to make all these appointments via internal promotions, which he said highlighted the strength of the commercial casualty team. “All four of these colleagues have proven themselves not only to be successful underwriters, but leaders that embrace and demonstrate Everest’s core cultural tenets of thoughtfulness, execution, and collaboration,” he said.
