Aspen Re America names Ana Cifuentes as head of professional lines

Aspen Re America (ARA) has appointed Ana Cifuentes as head of professional lines.

Cifuentes takes up her post on December 9, 2020. She will be based in New York and report to Jim Brown, head of casualty for ARA.

From 2016 to 2018 Cifuentes was deputy head of business development and innovation and senior vice president at AXIS Re Global, leading the implementation of its customer relationship management model. She also managed and developed key large global professional liability accounts.

Before this Cifuentes was senior vice president of US professional liability underwriting at AXIS Re US in New York. She has also served as vice president of European casualty underwriting at AXIS Re Europe in Zurich, having started her career as a European casualty underwriter at Gerling Global Re in Madrid.
