PartnerRe appoints Pohlchristoph to its board of directors

PartnerRe has named Hermann Pohlchristoph to its board of directors.

Pohlchristoph has spent 28 years in the re/insurance industry and has held multiple executive roles. He was most recently as a member of Munich Re’s board of management from 2017 to 2020.

He served as Munich Re’s chief financial officer for reinsurance from 2006 to 2017, before which he was head of financial reporting and accounting for two years.

Brian Dowd, PartnerRe’s board chairman, said Pohlchristoph “brings a breadth of professional expertise that will further strengthen the board’s depth of talent.”

Following this appointment PartnerRe’s board comprises five directors, of which three are independent directors.
