PartnerRe appoints Gareth Stanley as head of US casualty

PartnerRe has appointed Gareth Stanley as head of US casualty.

Stanley has spent the majority of his 30-year career in casualty underwriting and leadership positions in London, Bermuda and New York. He was most recently head of US broker market, traditional casualty, at Trans Re.

At PartnerRe he is based in Stamford and reports to Jon Colello, chief executive for P&C Americas.

Colello said: “[Stanley’s] appointment is one of a number of recent external hires and internal promotions that will further strengthen our leadership position in the P&C market and underlines our commitment to offering best-in-class underwriting to our clients and brokers.”
