PartnerRe appoints catastrophe head

Bermuda-based PartnerRe has appointed Greg Haft as head of catastrophe. He succeeds Brian Secrett who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Based in Bermuda, Haft is responsible for PartnerRe's worldwide catastrophe reinsurance business and reports to Emmanuel Clarke, chief executive officer of PartnerRe global.

Haft joined PartnerRe in 2013 from Markel Corporation, where he was managing director, head of US property catastrophe underwriting.
