New executives appointed at Horseshoe Group

Horseshoe Group has appointed two new Bermuda-based executives that it said would strengthen its global offerings.

Anna Pereira and Mark Lavery have been appointed as senior vice president, head of treasury and senior vice president, head of marketing & communications respectively. Pereira and Lavery will be based out of Horseshoe’s Bermuda office and will play key roles in the firm’s global business.

Pereira has over 20 years’ experience working in the insurance, reinsurance, Alternative Risk Transfer and Capital markets in Bermuda. Previously, she was head of captive and insurance banking with HSBC Bank Bermuda and has held underwriting positions with Chubb Financial Solutions, and Everest Re Bermuda. Pereira takes over responsibility for managing the Group’s global banking and trustee relationships from Philip Jones, who will be retiring from full time responsibilities this month, but remaining on as a consultant.

Lavery has over 10 years’ financial services marketing and communications experience within the Bermuda and international markets, most recently as senior manager, markets at KPMG in Bermuda. He is charged with leading and supporting Horseshoe’s global marketing, communications, knowledge management and business development efforts.
