McGill says new hire emphasises ambitious plans for Bermuda

McGill and Partners, the global boutique specialist(re)insurance broker, plans to expand its reach in the Bermuda market.

As previously reported in Bermuda+ILS, It has appointed Bermuda indusry veteran Peter Stubbings (pictured) to be a a partner, and said the appointment reinforced the broker’s strong commitment to the Bermudian market and its ambitions to bring new premiums to the island.

Stubbings will focus on reinsurance and joins from Aon where he was CEO of Global ReSpecialty. Prior to this he was chairman of Guy Carpenter in Bermuda.

The broker said: "McGill and Partners’ Bermudian operations have a global remit, working closely with the rest of the firm’s offices across the world on both insurance and reinsurance contracts.

"The expansion of its team on the island cements its dedication to the market and will enhance its ability to provide its local and global clients with a best-in-class service and global market access."
