Marsh appoints multinational client service leader

David Bidmead assumes the role of global multinational client service leader and chair of Marsh’s multinational executive committee effective April 1. In his new role Bidmead, who has been with Marsh for almost 20 years, will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the company’s multinational client service team and delivery approach.

Bidmead served most recently as CEO of Marsh USA. He will be replaced by Robert Bentley, president of Marsh’s US and Canada division.

Joe McSweeny, president of global sales, says: “Dave Bidmead is a proven leader and visionary change agent with a lengthy record of accomplishments. As the number of multinational companies emanating from within and outside the US continues to grow, having someone of Dave’s caliber overseeing our global client service delivery strategy will ensure that we are consistently bringing the best of Marsh to our clients working in a multi-country environment.”

Bidmead adds: “I’m delighted to lead this extremely talented team of dedicated multinational client service specialists and bringing an even greater focus to the value that we create for our multinational clients. With a rapidly changing risk landscape and a dynamic insurance market, we need to continually orientate our value proposition and the cohesion of our multinational network to the needs of our clients.”
